Parish Council submit objections to planning application for site at Sycamore Avenue

At an Extra Ordinary meeting on 1 September 2020, the Parish Council considered the planning application for the site at Sycamore Avenue, off Common Piece Lane. The application is for ‘Engineering operations to remove topsoil and lay hardcore to facilitate the change of use of land for storage purposes including the parking of cars and siting of 8 storage containers.’

The Councillors thank all the members of the public who attended the virtual meeting to raise their concerns about the potential development of the site. The objections to the development were wide ranging but broadly in line with those of the Members who resolved in this convened meeting to respond to the consultation with their objections to the development. A copy of the objections submitted by the Parish Council can be found here.

Residents are reminded that if they wish to submit any comments regarding the application to the planning department at South Derbyshire District Council, the deadline is Friday 11 September 2020. Details can be found here.
