Walk-in Vaccination Clinic in Repton on Sunday 20 February 2022

For anyone who has not yet had their first Covid jab or needs their second or booster, they can just turn up at a clinic taking place this weekend in Repton.

The clinic is at Repton Village Hall, Askew Grove, Repton, DE65 6GR on Sunday 20 February 2022.

Clinic times are 11am – 5pm.

No appointment needed and the friendly team will be happy to help.

Findern Parish Council prepares for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend

In preparation for HRH Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebration over the first weekend in June, Findern Parish Council has planted two trees.

An Acer campestre ‘Queen Elizabeth’ (Field Maple) has been planted to commemorate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee year; and a Quercus petraea (Sessile Oak) has been planted in memory of HRH Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh.

The official commemoration of the trees will be on Friday 3 June 2022, during the Jubilee weekend; however, the trees were planted in February as this gives them the best chance of successful establishment. Councillor Martin Woodhouse (seen in picture) selected the species and planted the trees; he will continue to look after them to ensure their longevity.

The tree commemoration will be one of a number events held over the Jubilee weekend by the Parish Council and the Village Hall Committee. Details of these events will be shared soon.

An Ordinary Meeting of Findern Parish Council will take place at 7.00pm on Thursday, 10 February 2022. The meeting will be held at the Methodist Church, Lower Green, Findern.

PRESS AND PUBLIC ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND THE MEETING. However, please note the precautions below regarding COVID.

You should not attend a meeting in person if:

  • you have coronavirus symptoms: a high temperature, loss or change to sense of smell or taste, a new continuous cough.
  • if you have tested positive for COVID-19 or are waiting for a test result.
  • if you have been instructed by the NHS to self-isolate.
  • you have recently returned from travel abroad and should be either self-isolating or quarantining.

Keeping meetings, employees and visitors safe

When you attend the meeting, keep yourself and others safe by following the Government’s guidance at all times. Our safety measures require:

  • advised to wear a face covering, unless exempt.
  • maintaining some distance from others.
  • using the hand sanitiser provided upon entrance to and exit from the meeting room.

In line with national track and trace requirements we ask that you provide the Clerk with your name, email address and telephone number at the meeting. Your details will be held on record for 21 days from the date of the meeting and then they will be securely deleted.
