The next meeting of the Parish Council will take place on Thursday 14 October 2021

An Ordinary Meeting of Findern Parish Council will take place at 7.00pm on Thursday, 14 October 2021. The meeting will be held at the Methodist Church, Lower Green, Findern.

PRESS AND PUBLIC ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND THE MEETING. However, please note the precautions below regarding COVID.

You should not attend a meeting in person if:

  • you have coronavirus symptoms: a high temperature, loss or change to sense of smell or taste, a new continuous cough.
  • if you have tested positive for COVID-19 or are waiting for a test result.
  • if you have been instructed by the NHS to self-isolate.
  • you have recently returned from travel abroad and should be either self-isolating or quarantining.

Keeping meetings, employees and visitors safe

When you attend the meeting, keep yourself and others safe by following the Government’s guidance at all times. Our safety measures require:

  • advised to wear a face covering, unless exempt.
  • maintaining some distance from others.
  • using the hand sanitiser provided upon entrance to and exit from the meeting room.

In line with national track and trace requirements we ask that you provide the Clerk with your name, email address and telephone number at the meeting. Your details will be held on record for 21 days from the date of the meeting and then they will be securely deleted.

County Council consult with public on proposed traffic regulations for Findern

The County Council propose to make a new Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce traffic regulations around The Green and Doles Lane in Findern.

The consultation on the proposals runs from 7 October to 29 October 2021.

There is an explanatory public notice and plan showing the proposal for Findern.

Should you have any queries with regards this proposal; or have any objections or other representation that you may wish to make, they should be submitted in accordance with the final paragraph below.

A copy of the Order and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection at the offices of the Derbyshire County Council, Main Reception, County Hall, Matlock between 9am and 5pm, Monday and Thursday 2pm till 7pm and Wednesday 10am till 5pm at Etwall Library. until 29 October 2021;  or visit the Derbyshire County Council website.

All objections and other representations to the proposal must be made in writing and all objections must state the grounds on which they are made; must give name and full postal address of the person making them; and be sent to the Director – Economy, Transport and Environment, Derbyshire County Council, County Hall, Matlock DE4 3AG (For Attention of Traffic and Safety Team) or email ETC.Trafficmanagement@derbyshire.gov.uk by 29 October 2021 putting TRO proposals South Derbyshire in subject line.

A Finance Committee Meeting of Findern Parish Council will be held at the Findern Methodist Church on Thursday 7 October 2021 at 7pm.

Residents of the Parish are welcome to attend the meeting but are unable to take part in the proceedings.
