Notice of Conclusion of Audit for Findern Parish Council – for budget year 2021 to 2022

The audit of accounts for Findern Parish Council for the year ending 31 March 2022 has been completed and the accounts have been published.

The Annual Governance & Accountability Return for the year ended 31 March 2022 is available to view below along with the External Auditors Report and Certificate. Hard copies of these documents will be available on reasonable notice by application to the Clerk:

Book of Condolence for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II opened

The Parish Council has opened a Book of Condolence at the Village Hall in Findern.

This will be available from:

Monday, 12 September to Sunday, 18 September 2022

between the hours below: –

Monday               2pm – 4pm

Tuesday               5pm – 7pm

Wednesday         2pm – 4pm

Thursday             5pm – 7pm

Friday                   2pm – 4pm

Saturday              10am – 12 noon

Sunday                 10am – 12 noon

*Arrangements will be made to make the Book available to Wallfields House, Brook Close Community and both Findern Primary School and Highfields Spencer Academy.

FLORAL TRIBUTES

Anyone wishing to place a floral tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, may do so under the tree on The Green in Findern. This was planted there to celebrate the Queen’s 50th Jubilee. This is the smallest of the five trees, nearest to the corner with Main Street.

Picture of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth IIWe are deeply saddened to hear of the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of her other realms and territories, Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith.

Our sadness at this time is shared by residents of the Parish of Findern, and across the country and the world as we remember with affection and gratitude Her Majesty’s lifetime of service.

Findern Parish Council send sincere condolences, on behalf of our residents, to the Royal Family at this time of their great loss.

The Parish Council is also making arrangements to open a Book of Condolence at the Village Hall from Monday, 12 September. Details of when this will be available to residents will be posted here, and also on the Community Facebook page and Noticeboards.

All Saints Church will be lit up from this evening until the day after the state funeral.

All Saints Church will be open for private reflections and prayers today from 9am-4pm, Sat 9am-4pm, Sun from 9am (Service as usual at 10am – everyone welcome) and continues to be open until 4pm. A Book of Condolence is available.

The next Meeting of Findern Parish Council takes place on Thursday, 8 September 2022

An Ordinary Meeting of Findern Parish Council will take place at 7.00pm on Thursday, 8 September 2022. The meeting will be held at the Methodist Church, Lower Green, Findern.

PRESS AND PUBLIC ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND THE MEETING.
