Notice for the exercise of public rights – Annual Audit 2021/22

Confirmation of the dates for the period for the exercise of public rights as part of the External Audit process for Findern Parish Council audit and accounts 2021/22.

Each year the smaller authority’s Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) needs to be reviewed by an external auditor appointed by Smaller Authorities’ Audit Appointments Ltd. The unaudited AGAR has been published with the attached notice. As it has yet to be reviewed by the appointed auditor, it is subject to change as a result of that review.

Any person interested has the right to inspect and make copies of the accounting records for the financial year to which the audit relates and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers, receipts and other documents relating to those records must be made available for inspection by any person interested. For the year ended 31 March 2022, these documents will be available on reasonable notice by application to the Clerk:

Notes regarding the exercise of Public Rights

Exciting new addition for the King George V Playing Field in Findern!

Next week, on 13 June 2022, contractors are starting to install a basketball practice area with goal at the King George V Playing Field in Findern.

The contractor aims to complete the project in 5-7 Days. The machinery operating hours will be between the hours of 8am – 6pm and the building area will be fenced off for safety. Anyone visiting the park should keep away from the site; however, there will still be access to the play area, bike track and football field.

Please note. the contractor will need access to the playing field via the gateway off Baxter’s Way, therefore, the Parish Council politely request that this access is left clear of vehicles during the day.

The Parish Council are pleased that the final phase of improvements at the park will soon be completed and this exciting new addition will be available for our young people.
